Langham Hotels and Resorts is founded on 150 years of history, dating back from 1865 when The Langham, London opened as one of Europe’s first “Grand Hotels”. The hotel was named after Sir James Langham, whose mansion was on the original site in the centre of London. Amongst those at the hotel’s opening ceremony were the European royalty and Victorian aristocracy.
The Langham has always been at the forefront of innovative hospitality, with its interior marked by the finest European craftsmanship. It was also the first to have installed hydraulic lifts in the world, as well as hot and cold running water in all guest rooms.
Langham continues to flourish today, with the delivery of excellence in service and products in key cities of the world.
An illustrious heritage demands lofty standards. Our four core pillars continue to guide and challenge the luxury hotel experience.
Our guests are our priority. Our caring and sincere colleagues strive to anticipate even our guests’ unspoken needs and provide genuine services in a timely and reliable manner. Taking initiatives is key to our service culture. We encourage our colleagues to take ownership of guest satisfaction, innovation and excellence.
We recognise that brands are created through embracing and engaging all the senses: sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. From our Ginger Flower fragrance to the pink roses in the lobby, we always try to captivate our guests with unique touch points.
