Whether you have important clients to impress or you need to escape the office for a team planning session, The Langham Auckland is the perfect place to do it. Well-known for its exceptional service with poise, The Langham has a range of luxurious venues, ideal for business meetings of any size.
And now, there is more luxury than ever, as the five-star hotel celebrates a $2.4 million refurbishment of its meeting rooms completed in April 2015.
The Crystal Room is a stunning new venue which can accommodate up to 180 guests, making it an excellent wedding venue and breakout space for exhibitions and conferences.
Previously the Waitemata Room, which divided into three long narrow rooms, the refurbishment has seen the venue become lighter, brighter and more functional by changing the configuration to divide into two more practical-sized rooms.
Four new sparkling crystal chandeliers bring a sense of indulgence to the lighting in the room, which can also be controlled in sections so guests can easily turn off the lights in front of the drop-down digital projectors. Crystal’s guests can also enjoy an exclusive private foyer without needing to leave the venue.
Four new Gallery Rooms have also officially opened their doors on the site of the old SPE (Some Place Else) bar following an increase in demand for more meeting rooms/breakout rooms to support large events in The Great Room.
The Great Room, home to numerous black tie awards including the NZ Cricket Awards and the New Zealander of the Year Awards, is still the largest pillar-less ballroom of any hotel in Auckland, seating 900 for dinner or 1400 for cocktails.
The new Gallery Rooms have a crisp, bright décor with floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the rooms in sunlight.
With full HD digital vision providing simple intuitive wireless connectivity for iPads or PCs, thanks to audio-visual experts Staging Connections, presenters no longer have to be tied to a cable while they make their presentations.
“Opening this suite of rooms consolidates our position as one of the leading MICE venues in New Zealand, and certainly the leading events hotel in Auckland,” says director of sales and marketing Michael Shah.
“Thanks to the number (13 in total) and quality of rooms, variety of sizes (4 to 1400 people), audio-visual capabilities, our great reputation for food and beverage – and most importantly professional, dedicated staff who provide a sense of true welcome and hospitality – we believe we provide an unequalled experience.”
“We have Auckland’s best spa, Chuan Spa, based on traditional Chinese medicine, an amazing interactive dining experience at Eight, executive transfers, full-service concierge, The Langham Club Lounge on the 10th floor for VIPs, our beautiful Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood experience – and again, all supported by 425 well-trained and professional staff,” says Shah.
The Langham also has some of the best corporate rates in town, especially for small to medium sized companies. If you need 20-50 room nights per year The Langham’s Optimum programme provides exclusive rates across its portfolio of properties, preferential rates for Langham Club Rooms and Suites, a dedicated global sales representative to personally assist with your reservations, and airline partner miles accrual.
