The Langham Auckland has once again proven why it’s Auckland’s top hotel for holding events.
The hotel’s legendary hospitality, genuine service and exquisite cuisine has long been revered by clients from around the world who will often book an event two or three years’ in advance just to secure The Langham as the venue.
But late last month, it was the hotel’s turn to thank its key business clients with a lavish evening of canapés, entertainment and theming in its Great Room.
More than 300 guests sipped luscious cocktails under glittering chandeliers as they danced the night away with music from The Production and Music Agency.
Events and Conferences Director Natalie Reid worked closely with the hotel’s partners including Event Impressions, Staging Connections, The Production and Music Agency and Orlando Flowers to create the decadent event.
“We wanted to create a truly magical atmosphere where our clients would feel utterly spoilt – like Kings and Queens. We wanted them to know just how much we value them while thanking them for their continued support and loyalty the best way we can – with a really good party!” says Reid.
Director of Sales and Marketing Michael Shah says he was delighted his clients got the chance to see and experience for themselves just what The Langham is capable of.
“The Langham is one of the best conferences and events hotels in NZ,” says Shah. “Reading about this on paper just doesn’t cut it. On this evening, we were able to show everyone who we are, exactly what we can do and exactly how well we do it.”
The luxury hotel delivers more than 1000 events a year with The Great Room in particular home to many prestigious black tie events such as New Zealander of The Year.
That same week, more than a 100 guests also took part in an exclusive bridal fashion show and afternoon tea on February 21.
The Langham dressed its wedding venues including The Great Room in all their wedding finery and treated guests to afternoon tea and a stunning bridal fashion show from Jane Yeh. The event was a collaboration between the hotel and its top notch wedding partners: A Touch of Class, La Lumiere, Perry Trotter Photography, Orlando, Staging Connections, The Production and Music Agency and Interlike.
There was a glass of Champagne on arrival, lots of prizes won – including a night in a luxurious Langham suite – and hundreds of inspiring ideas from the team of wedding experts including table settings, flower displays and wedding cakes.
