The iconic Saturday Chocolate Bar returns for its 30th year of delighting dessert lovers
Since its conception in 1988, the Chocolate Bar has grown from a small dessert display to the more than 100 plus desserts that it offers today. The city’s most decadent weekend brunch will celebrate the three decades throughout the dishes, displays and décor.
The highlight will be the 30 Best Desserts from the last 30 years, including local favorites, nostalgic treats, current obsessions and classic indulgences. Impressive chocolate sculptures will celebrate the anniversary, some adorned with candy made to look like pearls and pieces of jade (traditional 30th anniversary gifts), others in the shapes of the letters, and more honoring the legacy and location of the hotel.
Interactive culinary stations will delight guests of all ages including the Donut Wall, perfect for creating social media moments; a Vegan section; an ice cream cold stone to create custom-mixed frozen treats with a variety of toppings; dark, milk and “Langham pink” chocolate fountains with fresh fruit, pretzels, marshmallows and more for dipping; a warm cookies and cold milk display; plus a Kids Station, featuring simpler takes on baked goods such as cookies, brownies, blondies and Rice Krispies™ treats. Classic cocktails and live music set the tone for the day.
