Romance is On the Menu this Valentine’s Day at The Langham, Boston

BOSTON (January 2016) – Sweet romance awaits guests at The Langham, Boston this Valentine’s Day weekend as the luxury hotel provides three days of culinary delights, indulgent desserts and romantic celebrations.    

 

Dinner in BOND Restaurant | lounge

On Friday, February 12th and Saturday, February 13th, celebrate early with a three-course prix fixe dinner prepared by The Langham, Boston’s Executive Chef Mark Sapienza in the opulent space dimly lit by candlelight and crystal chandeliers. Sample dishes include:

  • House-smoked maple cured salmon with citrus roasted beets, upland cress, rye crisps and horseradish crème fraiche.
  • Lavender honey-brushed duck breast, with roasted winter vegetables and kale, cherry gastrique.
  • Valrhona white chocolate sphere, with hot cocoa sauce, peppermint ice cream and dark chocolate dust.

Live acoustic music sets the tone both evenings.Reservations from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; $75 per person.

 

The Chocolate Bar in Café Fleuri

On Saturday, February 13th, Executive Pastry Chef Ryan Pike features a romantic twist on our popular Chocolate Bar, a buffet filled with chocolate and candy as far as the eye can see. Chef Pike’s Valentine’s Day-inspired menu boasts a pink chocolate fountain, Valrhona dark chocolate champagne filled truffles, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, raspberry champagne filled profiteroles, white chocolate pearls, and much more. An extensive selection of bubbly by the glass or bottle is available to complement the decadent desserts. Seatings available: 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.; Adults: $45 or $58 with a glass of sparkling wine, Children (5-12 years old): $35.

 

Afternoon Tea and Fashion in The Reserve

For a romantic date or a ladies day out, The Reserve boasts two options for Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood on Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th. In addition to the hotel’s signature tea blends, the menu features sandwiches, cakes and scones including egg and chive salad with American sturgeon caviar and brioche, red velvet cream cheese frosted petit cupcakes and dark chocolate and orange scones with Devonshire clotted cream, strawberry jam and lemon curd among others. On the 13th, guests will also be entertained by a fashion show from a prominent local designer during the tea. Reservations from 2-5 p.m.; $55 per person.

On both nights, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Reserve offers an intimate evening tea menu that adds Maine lobster bisque with Amontillados sherry parfum to the tea experience, making it the perfect start to a romantic celebration.  $60 per person.

 

Sunday City Brunch in Café Fleuri

The Langham’s decadent Sunday Brunch buffet offers a romantic holiday twist with champagne and special treats in addition to an extensive selection of seasonal culinary options including traditional brunch fare, hand-rolled custom sushi, build your own omelets, crepes, Belgian waffles, and pasta, a raw bar and other interactive culinary stations set against the relaxing sounds of a live jazz band. Seatings available: 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.; Adults: $81 with a glass of sparkling wine, Children (5-12 years old): $45.

Guests celebrating their devotion with an overnight stay can reserve the Valentine’s Day Privacy for Two package. Begin the romantic retreat by indulging in a bottle of Champagne with Langham pink chocolate-covered strawberries and enjoy breakfast in bed from our Private Kitchen.
