BOSTON (June 9, 2015) – Sean Patrick Morison was named Chef de Cuisine at BOND restaurant | lounge at The Langham, Boston, the hotel announced today. With 15 years of experience in the New England food service industry, Morrison brings his passion for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to the restaurant.
After graduating from the New England Culinary Institute (NECI) in 2004, Morrison became a co-instructor of the school’s fine dining program. After working with NECI for two years, he left to become Sous Chef at Norma’s, a restaurant at the Topnotch Resort & Spa in Stowe, VT. In 2008, Morrison took a Sous Chef position at Michaels on the Hill in Waterbury Center, VT. While there, he developed a passion for locally sourced produce, meats and cheeses working with Chef/Owner Michael Kloeti on his hyper-local menus, which relied on ingredients from area farmers and foragers.
The young chef left Michaels on the Hill to join The Langham, Boston as Chef de Partie in 2009, overseeing the hotel’s two dining outlets, and he left in 2011 to assume position of Chef de Cuisine at Meadhall in Cambridge, MA. Meadhall led to a position as Chef de Cuisine at the acclaimed Lumiere in Newton, MA which paved the way for Morrison to work at Concord MA’s Bondir. He later joined the culinary team at Aquitaine, a French bistro in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Blending the grand architectural elements and history of The Langham, Boston with modern design, BOND restaurant | lounge is a stylish destination for modern American fare and creative cocktails. Morrison will collaborate with the hotel’s Executive Chef Mark Sapienza to develop menus using fresh, locally sourced meats, produce and seafood to create bold flavors in the restaurant’s seasonal menus. In his spare time, Morrison forages for provisions to use in his dishes.
