Jessica and Lenin
Saturday 5th of March 2011 - Clarendon Ballroom
We were introduced by our Matron of Honour and her husband and began dating in March 2009. Lenin proposed on our one year anniversary overlooking the picturesque Brown Brothers vineyard in Milawa. We began planning our wedding day immediately and set the date for one year later. We envisioned our wedding as timeless and elegant and The Langham was the perfect Melbourne venue. Every part of the hotel is just breathtaking – the foyer, the ballroom, the pool deck and the suites.
Our experience at The Langham was five star in every way. We worked together with our wedding coordinator to create a personalised three course menu and finalise an endless list of intimate details. We were advised on event timings, floor plans and photography locations but were given the freedom to plan our day exactly the way we had imagined. The staff were wonderful every time we visited the hotel to meet with our wedding co-ordinator, and attended to our every need on the weekend of our wedding, including ice buckets for our very tired feet!
Our guests (many of which had travelled from interstate or overseas to attend our wedding) were equally impressed by the attentive service, the quality of the food and the elegance of the hotel.
We had such a memorable experience with The Langham that we choose to stay at The Langham, Koh Samui,
and the The Langham, Hong Kong on our honeymoon.
Advice for Future Couples
Words of wisdom that we would like to share with engaged couples is to take pleasure in the planning process. Preparing for your wedding day is exciting and rewarding. Choose wisely when selecting who you will share your wedding day with. We spent the whole day laughing with our fantastic bridal party and photographer and videographer, and relied on trusted friends and family members to coordinate the behind the scenes aspects. Don’t compromise on the small details – these will give your day an extra special touch that you will be able to enjoy in your photographs for years to come. Most importantly, take the time to enjoy what is one of the most important days of your lives – your very first day as husband and wife.
