January 2019….It could be said that high tea is one of the most stylish times of day. Or it may have been said that diners should always dress up for high tea. One thing is for certain, during the first two weekends in March, Aria Bar & Lounge will be brimming with desserts as fashionable as the venue’s guests.
As a proud partner of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, The Langham, Melbourne is hosting a series of seriously fashionable high teas on Saturday 2 and 9 March and Sunday 3 and 10 March 2019.
To help fit in with the busy schedule of a fashionista, the VAMFF Dessert High Tea will be offered twice a day, from 11.30am until 1.30pm and 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
The hotel’s Executive Chef, Deepak Mishra has taken inspiration from the runway to create a menu that features chic cakes fit for the catwalk. Couture treats also include crocodile leather-inspired chocolate and coffee éclairs, lemon tarts with vanilla bean mousse and lipstick-saving white chocolate and raspberry pops.
$89.00 per adult includes a decadent dessert buffet laden with red velvet macarons with cream cheese icing, a milk chocolate and hazelnut feathered edible hat and more.
Style-setters can sip on a Sloe and Stylish cocktail made with, you guessed it, Sloe gin, rosewater, lemon and topped up with Chandon sparkling wine and finished with delicate cotton candy.
