To celebrate the Year of the Rat, The Langham, Melbourne is showcasing an authentic Chinese menu for Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner and Chinese New Year’s Day dinner at Melba Restaurant on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th January 2020. Specialty Chinese dishes will be prepared by the hotel’s brigade of traditional Chinese chefs.

Diners can feast on everyone’s favourite Chinese dishes from ginger and spring onion wok fried lobster with noodles, spicy wontons, shrimp dumplings, unagi skewer with shiso cress, roasted five-spice crispy pork belly, tiger prawns with pineapple relish, sweet and sour Peking style pork chop and desserts including crème caramel, ricotta raspberry tart, wine meringue and orange confit.There will also be plenty of fresh seafood including blue swimmer crabs, mussels, octopus, prawns and oysters from Melba’s renowned seafood stations.

The Langham, Melbourne’s distinctive floral display will be transformed by a decadent installation featuring gold and red blooms and guests will be given lucky envelopes at dinner on Chinese New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year’s Day.
