Corporate Social Responsibility

The Langham, Shenzhen extends the Langham legacy of delivering refined service and luxurious comfort while maintaining an active role in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).


In fulfilling our commitments, we cooperate with a scientific certification program called 'EarthCheck' for benchmarking and certification for environmental and economic sustainability ,and The Langham, Shenzhen has been awarded the bronze medal in April 2015. It guides us to establish a good relationship between our operation and the environment by applying appropriate methods that contribute to the local community. The aim is to exercise a sustainable operation with the smallest impact on the environment as possible. Furthermore, we are also a member of the Shenzhen Futian District Environmental Protection Industry Association.

Our green initiatives are evident in every corner of The Langham, Shenzhen:

  • Guest of the Earth programme (reuse of linen and towels)

Because we believe that supporting the local community also contributes to the sustainability of The Langham, Shenzhen the hotel officially launched a children's art charity project – 'Compose Music Dream' in July 2013. This is a joint initiative between The Langham, Shenzhen and Shenzhen Charity Federation's Handpicked Charity Foundation to sponsor talented children from underprivileged families to study at Lang Lang Music World, one of China's finest arts schools established by Mr. Lang Lang. 

As we endeavor to promote hotel CSR policy more widely, the internal green group-CONNECT continually trains and educates all our colleagues. The hotel encourages all staff to join more community environmental protection and charity volunteer activities such as earth hour, beach clean-up, visiting sick children in the hospital, charity walk and so on.
