Langham Hotels International is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Great Eagle Holdings Limited. The Great Eagle Group is one of Hong Kong's leading property and hotel companies, developing, investing in and managing high quality office, retail, residential and hotel properties in Hong Kong, North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Great Eagle’s extensive hotel portfolio currently comprises eight properties with over 4,760 rooms. Six of these properties are branded under Langham Hotels International and include the 427-room Langham Hotel, London, the 325-room Langham Hotel, Boston, the 490-room Langham Hotel, Hong Kong, the 665-room Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong, the 387-room Langham Hotel, Melbourne and the 410-room Langham Hotel, Auckland.
Great Eagle also owns and operates the four-star, 468-room Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong as well as owns the 1,590-room Delton Chelsea Hotel in Toronto. In the fourth quarter of 2004, the Group opened
Langham Place , a 1.8 million square feet complex in the prime shopping district of Mongkok, Hong Kong.
It consists of a 600,000 square feet shopping mall, a 770,000 square feet intelligent office tower and the five-star Langham Place Hotel. Great Eagle is also active in property management and maintenance services, as well as building materials trading.
The Great Eagle Group was founded in 1963 with the incorporation of The Great Eagle Company, Limited, which was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1972. In 1990, Great Eagle Holdings Limited, a company incorporated in Bermuda, became the listed company and the holding company of the Group.
