LANGHAM HOSPITALITY GROUP APPOINTS FIRST DIRECTOR OF TALENT MANAGEMENT
November 17, 2011 Langham Hospitality Group has appointed Doris Kwong as the group's first Director of Talent Management, to nurture and develop staff as the global hotel operator continues to develop at a rapid pace. Doris will be responsible for the talent development system that supports the growth of Langham Hospitality Group which includes The Langham, Langham Place and Eaton brands. Sharon Cheng, Vice President – Human Resources said: "Doris will take our talent management to the next level. She will evolve our systems to support our company's growth along the "New Silk Road" and wherever we have a presence. Her role includes succession planning as well as colleague retention and training." Doris joins the group from the banking and financial services industry. She has developed talent for institutions such as HSBC, KPMG and Dah Sing Group in Asia. Her previous responsibilities have included delivering management and technical training programmes across all levels in Hong Kong and China. She established KPMG's training team in China as well as developed and implemented leadership courses for HSBC. At Dah Sing Group, she crafted the training roadmaps, built the Learning Management System and revamped the talent program for graduates and developed learning management systems. She commenced her career as a Certified Public Accountant in auditing before moving into people management and development.
