LANGHAM CHAIRMAN WINS TOP TRAVEL INDUSTRY AWARD
Dr. KS Lo Named Travel Entrepreneur of the Year
(Hong Kong - 26 October 2006) --- Dr. KS Lo, Chairman of Langham Hotels International (LHI), was awarded Travel Entrepreneur of the Year at the 17th Annual Travel Awards 2006 presented by TTG Asia Media.
The prestigious award is a special recognition of Dr. Lo's commitment and outstanding contribution to the region's tourism industry, particularly Hong Kong. Under Dr. Lo's leadership, LHI – the hospitality and asset management arm of Great Eagle Holdings, has emerged as Hong Kong's new "home-grown" five-star luxury hotel brand on the international scene within the short span of three years.
Dr. Lo established LHI with a clear vision to create a new international luxury hotel brand, offering innovative hospitality based on Langham's 140 years of legendary heritage, dating back to 1865 when The Langham Hotel in London originally opened as Europe's first Grand Hotel. Spanning four continents, the group currently features six properties with over 2,700 rooms in five gateway cities, namely London, Boston, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Auckland.

Presented by TTG Asia Media, the annual TTG Travel Awards honour the most outstanding players in Asia-Pacific's travel industry for their achievements and contributions. Of all awards, the "Travel Entrepreneur of the Year" selected by TTG Asia's editorial team is considered to be one of the most prestigious.
In addition to Travel Entrepreneur of the Year award presented by TTG Asia, Dr. Lo has also been awarded Business Person of the Year in the DHL / SCMP (South China Morning Post) Hong Kong Business Awards 2005.
