Chuan Spa focuses on a holistic philosophy of well-being offering an extensive range of therapeutic treatments, drawing on the influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Chuan Spa private label aromatherapy and treatment products are based upon the principles of Yin and Yang and the five Chinese essential elements of Water, Fire, Metal, Wood and Earth. This range of exclusive products all has differing properties enabling our therapist to match guests’ treatment need with appropriate essential elements. Chuan Spa private label product will be complemented by French spa and cosmetic range Thalgo providing marine based treatment products.

The first two Chuan Spas will open in Langham Melbourne Hotel in December and Langham Place Hotel in Hong Kong in January.

Chuan Spa is destined to become leading Spa operator on a worldwide basis with plans already in place to add the luxury Spa to Langham Hotels in Boston and London as well as free-standing locations in other gateway cities.

Totaling two floors and more than 10,000 square feet, the US$3.2 million Chuan Spa in the Langham Hotel, Melbourne (to be re-branded on 1 January 2005) will be the first to open in late December 2004. The second Chuan Spa, occupying the top three floors and more than 15,000 square feet will open its doors in the Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong on 15 January 2005.
