Getting to Know Chef Stephen Bukoff

As our transformation nears completion, we are so honored to be able to finally announce our restaurant and bar concepts and introduce our new Executive Chef!

Chef Stephen Bukoff is our new Executive Chef, and he will lead the culinary teams at all of our dining outlets, including: Private Kitchen (in-room dining), banqueting, our highly anticipated restaurant GRANA and our chic new destination bar, The Fed. 

GRANA will initially open for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch, and is taking over the grand hall of the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (formerly our BOND restaurant). This transformed space will open in June along with the hotel. Serving up a menu of approachable and authentic family-style Italian dishes amongst the soaring ceilings, ornate moldings and fixtures, lush velvet furniture and world-class artwork, GRANA offers a stylish yet welcoming ambiance. We envision our guests sharing meals over deep conversation, having fun with friends and just enjoying each other’s company after the long year that we have all had.

With Chef Stephen at the helm, we know a meal at our reinvented hotel will help all our guests make memories with their loved ones and will hopefully be the start of new traditions for both Bostonians and visitors. “We are so excited to bring this native son back to Boston for our exciting re-opening,” said Michele Grosso, managing director of The Langham, Boston. “We anticipate our bar and restaurant both becoming iconic celebration destinations in Boston where patrons truly feel looked after, not just served, and we are confident that Chef Stephen can achieve those goals.”

“I am thrilled to bring the experience I have gained not just from my culinary career but from around the world to my hometown,” said Stephen. “I’m looking forward to utilizing incredible locally-sourced produce, meats and seafood to create the kind of food that goes perfectly with The Langham’s promise of being a new American classic in the Boston market. I eagerly await the opportunity to help our guests create the type of lasting memories that The Langham has always provided but in a new, innovative way.” 

Chef Stephen brings a world of experience with him to The Langham, Boston. He spent 16 years with Four Seasons Hotels, starting in Boston before venturing out to other properties across North America. Most recently, Stephen was the Restaurant Chef at EDGE Restaurant + Bar at the Four Seasons Denver. We are so excited to have Chef Stephen working alongside Kyung Lee, who also recently joined The Langham, Boston in November as our new Director of Food & Beverage.
