Winter Wonderland: 5 things to do in Boston this Winter
Bostonians know that the best way to beat the winter chill is to celebrate the season. Rather than hide from the temperatures, take advantage of all the fun activities you can only do this time of year. Here are five things to do in Boston this winter, and by the way, they are all within walking distance of The Langham, Boston!
Ice skating on Frog Pond
Frog Pond is located in Boston Common and is less than a 15-minute walk from The Langham, Boston. Open every day, it is a great activity for a family outing. Either bring your own skates or rent them on site, bundle up and get out on the ice. Skating to the festive music is a great way to lift the spirits if the cold weather has you down. Group and private skating lessons are also offered, as well as season passes to the rink, otherwise entrance is $6 for adults and kids are free (anyone under 58 inches tall is free!) Open through the end of February, the Snowport is open seven days a week and is located at the corner of Seaport Blvd and Fan Pier Blvd, putting it at around a ten-minute walk from The Langham, Boston. Take a cooking class at Boston Public Market
Chances are you’ll be spending a little bit more time inside this season, so why not make the best of it and learn something new? The Boston Public Market is not only a place to buy items from New England artisans and food producers, but it is also a place to learn how to cook! Cooking classes are held several times a week at the KITCHEN and they typically feature seasonal ingredients so get out of the dinner rut and pick up some new tricks at the Boston Public Market this winter. The BPM is only ten minutes from The Langham, Boston. For more information visit https://bostonpublicmarket.org/kitchen/.

Catch a Bruins or Celtics Game
Another Boston Winter pastime is catching a game! Watch either the Bruins or the Celtics play all Winter long at TD Garden, which is also within walking distance of the property—less than 20 minutes away. Prices for tickets vary, but a night at the Garden is fun for families of all ages and games happen several times a week, most weeks during the season. Go see the B’s or C’s play and enjoy a very Bostonian-style night out this Winter. For schedules and tickets head to https://www.nhl.com/bruins and https://www.nba.com/celtics/.
