Reading Session with Amy de la Haye on 17th of February
This February half term The Langham, London is delighted to welcome Amy de la Haye to our Children’s Afternoon Tea special event, in partnership with Daunt Books. Amy, a hugely successful author has a background deeply rooted in the fashion industry, currently holding the position of Professor of Dress History and Curatorship at the London College of Fashion and previously the Curator of 20th Century Fashion at the V&A.
Making its return by popular demand, the Children's Afternoon Tea with Daunt Books is a unique opportunity for young bookworms and their parents to spend an afternoon in the presence of a celebrated author. Amy will lead a story-time and creative session based on her book Clara Button and the Magical Hat Day.
Each of the little gourmets can then take home a signed copy of Clara Button and the Magical Hat Day, or select another book from the specially curated mini library that Daunt Books have prepared exclusively for The Langham, which caters for readers between 3- 12 years old, to take home in their very own Daunt Books’ tote bag.
This event takes place on 17th February 2020 at 12 noon, and requires advance booking.
We have a partnered with Daunt Books, meaning little literary lovers can select their own new book from a specially curated library before they embark on tasty treats. Specially conceived for creative young minds, our tea is interactive; the first course is made up of savoury jigsaw puzzle sandwiches. This is swiftly followed by some mouth-watering sweet treats.
Needless to say, adult companions are well catered for too; they can enjoy The Langham’s contemporary take on afternoon tea, SeasonaliTea, which uses the finest ingredients to create the tastiest savouries and most delicious patisserie, and is served with an award-winning tea service.
