Melba Restaurant Celebrates Father’s Day weekend at The Langham, Melbourne

Wednesday, 09 August 2017... Father’s Day is quickly approaching. There is no reason to stress and spoil the celebration as the chefs at Melba Restaurant will look after dads on their special day.

On Sunday 3 September, many families will flock to Melba Restaurant to honour dads. Whether it is a sumptuous breakfast, a hearty lunch, or indulgent dessert, the Melba Restaurant team of chefs have prepared an exquisite Father’s Day spread for all the best dads ever.

The menu for lunch on Father’s Day features Jack Daniels BBQ ribs, Peri Peri roast chicken as well as everyone’s favourite fresh seafood including wok-fry scallops, Hervey Bay Champagne Lobster, blue swimmer crab, tiger prawns, pacific oysters, Tasmanian Spring Bay mussels, tobiko caviar, smoked salmon with capers and grilled Moreton Bay bugs.

For a dessert fit for a king, the dessert bar offering includes Guinness mousse, chocolate pear tart with orange zest, Mars bar cupcakes and rocky road brownies. Plus, the ever popular sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce will be served too.

For every dad attending Father’s Day lunch, they will receive a mini Langham-brand Sherrin football. Dinner at Melba Restaurant will be as decadent with carte du jour choices made literally to indulge families. The seafood banquet will include Singapore chilli crab with sushi and sashimi on the set, while the Indian section will serve the perennial favourite, chicken tikka masala, along with Tandoori prawn cutlets and Indian curry favourites.

The live cooking station will surely have a beeline for the charcoal grilled sirloin steak and made to order pasta just the way guests like it. Add made-to-order naan bread filled with just about anything from spinach to cheese, Asian dishes, ricotta and spinach ravioli with truffle oil, roast pork belly plus a heavily laden antipasto station brimming with charcuterie, and more for a Father’s Day meal to cherish.

There will also be a Chocolate bar high tea at the Aria Bar and Lounge that features a contemporary menu of sweet treats and exquisite Wedgwood tea selection. The Chocolate bar menu includes Karalla, which is a combination of Praline mousse, Milk chocolate rice crispy bar and Mango jelly, Three Chocolates made of 61% chocolate and 35% vanilla chocolate mousse, orange brulee and Dulcey and Exotic Marmalade Pannacotta served with a glass of sparkling wine. Plus Green Tea voyage cake and Dulcey Chocolate tart that are beautifully handmade to satisfy patrons’ sweet cravings.

+ $25.00 per person for a guaranteed window table.

Lunch commences at 12.30pm and concludes at 4pm. Entrée, main course and live cooking stations conclude at 2.30pm. Dessert and cheese stations conclude at 4pm.

The Chuan Spa is also on the celebrations as they tailored a pampering package fit for every gentleman’s needs. Inclusions are designed to rejuvenate tired muscles and soften overworked skin such as tri bathing ritual and one hour relaxation massage. The package for two also includes access to the rooftop pool and sauna with a glass of red wine, a platter of cheese and mixed nuts, dark chocolate dessert, Chuan Spa thermal balm and valet parking. The Father’s Day package is $279 and treatment time will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
