MELBOURNE, October 11 2019…..The Langham, Melbourne will host a spectacular Melbourne Cup lunch on Tuesday 5 November at Melba Restaurant complete with special guest, the hotel’s ambassador, Gorgi Coghlan, a performance by legendary jazz singer, Fem Belling and prizes for the best-dressed guests.
Melbourne Cup lunch is ideal for those who wish to soak up the electric atmosphere of the Spring Racing Carnival without travelling to Flemington Racecourse.
Horse-racing devotees and novices alike will be able to watch all of the day’s races on large screens at Melba Restaurant and allow plenty of time between races to select a winner for the next race and visit Melba’s acclaimed open-kitchen.
Up to 70% of all produce served at Melba Restaurant is sourced in Victoria. Melbourne Cup Day’s menu showcases premium ingredients from around the state including mussels from Mount Martha, pork belly from Victoria’s high country, beef from South Gippsland and yoghurt panna cotta with Beechworth honey gelée.
Other dishes include crayfish Mornay with Milawa cheddar and Timboon cream, Port Lincoln yellowtail kingfish and Tasmanian smoked salmon.
