(New York, NY – October 2017) – There is nothing quite like late autumn in Alba, Italy. The communities in the hills of Piedmont come alive with gourmands from around the world, sniffing out the one thing that is universally celebrated by foodies of every country and culture – truffles. White truffles, to be more specific, the rarest version of this intoxicating ingredient, often imitated but never replicated.

In celebration of this tradition and the wonders of the white truffle, Langham Place, New York and Ai Fiori present White Truffle Weekend, November 10-12, part of New York City’s very own White Truffle Festival.

The White Truffle Festival, presented by Urbani Truffles and Prunotto Wines, in partnership with Altamarea Group, the family of restaurants that includes Ai Fiori, will take place throughout New York City, November 3-12. White Truffle Weekend is the perfect way to experience the very best of this city-wide celebration, while luxuriating in the most spacious guest rooms found in New York City.

Guests who wish to experience White Truffle Weekend can reserve a Deluxe Room at Langham Place, New York for the preferential rate of $399 USD + tax per night by mentioning “Truffle” at the time of booking. This will allow for easy access to three of the main events associated with the White Truffle Festival, all of which will take place over the weekend of November 10-12 at Ai Fiori, the Michelin-starred restaurant located on Langham Place’s 2nd floor. They are:

The White Truffle Wine Dinner, Friday, November 10 at 7 pm. A seven-course white truffle tasting menu prepared by Chef Scott Schneider, paired with the most exquisite wines from Prunotto’s Piedmont portfolio. ($750 USD per person.)

The NYC White Truffle Festival, Saturday, November 11 at 7 pm. A reception in the style of the Piemontese White Truffle Festivals in Italy, with interactive food stations showcasing truffles with Ai Fiori’s famed pasta dishes, passed canapes, wines from Antinori’s Prunotto and live music. General Admission tickets are available as well as VIP passes which allow for early entrance, a gift bag, a meet-and-greet with Chef Michael White and access to a special VIP truffle lounge courtesy of Urbani. ($350 USD General Admission; $425 USD VIP tickets.)
