Gerard Willems AM

Honouring one of the greatest composers of classical music; Ludwig van Beethoven. To celebrate his 250th birthday, pianist Gerard Willems, one of the utmost interpreters of the solo works of Beethoven, will give a performance of the Moonlight Sonata and other favourites.

Accompany the experience with the famous Langham Afternoon Tea, specially designed with Beethoven in mind. Music lovers will have the opportunity to toast the memory of the man who has brought so much joy to the world.

Amelia Farrugia is one of Australia’s favourite sopranos, who has delighted audiences as the star of a wide range of productions from The Merry Widow to The Phantom of the Opera.

Konstantin Shamray, Piano and Thomas Rann, Cello

The winner of both the Judges’ and People’s Choice prizes at the 2008 Sydney International Piano Competition, the Russian born Konstantin Shamray, returns to Sydney to perform an enchanting program of Beethoven, Chopin and Russian Romance with acclaimed cellist Thomas Rann. Highlights include:
