Built in 1922, The Langham was formerly The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston before being converted into a hotel in 1981.
As a historic landmark, the building is protected by the Boston Landmarks Commission, and looks almost exactly like it did back in its banking days.
The Langham, Boston features a stunning art collection that pays homage to the building’s banking history and local heritage. The collection features a total of 268 pieces, of which 126 are intimately linked to Boston's rich culture.
In addition to the permanent collection, The Langham has a rotating exhibition on view in partnership with The Copley Society, where the works are available for purchase. Guests may find the gallery in Artist Lane on the first floor of the hotel.
