READ MOREHOTEL CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At The Langham, London, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and preserving our world for future generations. In line with the Langham Hospitality Group’s goal to achieve Net Zero impact by 2045, we have implemented policies, action plans, and initiatives, with interim targets set for 2030, to ensure we meet our responsibilities and drive meaningful change.
Our main focus areas are energy efficiency, water efficiency, circularity, and sustainable sourcing. We actively engage with our stakeholders and provide regular training and awareness programs for colleagues to achieve these goals collectively.
We also encourage our guests to support our initiatives through small yet impactful actions, such as turning off lights when leaving the room, switching off taps when brushing teeth, and using the in-room recycling compartment. Guests can further participate in our Guest of The Earth program, helping us save energy, water, and chemicals by changing linens and towels every second day instead of daily.
Beyond our operations, we are committed to building closer connections with the local community. We support selected charities and run an annual community involvement program, offering volunteering opportunities for colleagues and helping make a positive impact locally.
Through these initiatives, The Langham, London strives to combine luxury hospitality with environmental responsibility, ensuring a sustainable future for all.

OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Our annual community programme enables staff to give back to the local community, through a slew of fundraising and volunteering opportunities. There, our staff use their expertise to conduct cookery classes, help with maintenance, or assist in big charity events.
In 2024 we won the Most Positive Community Impact Award at the Business Awards UK's Hospitality Awards. Furthermore we were sponsors of the Marylebone Music Festival in June 2025 in aid of the Marylebone Project charity and supporting local musicians.
If any of the charities we partner with resonate with you, we encourage you to join us and support them too.

Refuge Network UK is a community interest non-profit charity working with homeless people, rough sleepers and individuals and families living in extreme poverty. Their primary constituency consists of homeless people, refugees, rough sleepers, and individuals/families experiencing destitution in London.
Langham colleagues are volunteering with the Central London Feeding Project to prepare and distribute food to homeless people on the streets of London and joining outreach support workers.
KIDS enables children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities to enjoy their lives and achieve their ambitions. At the same time, the charity provides support and guidance to families.
The Langham family supports this charity through volunteering projects. We have held cooking or art classes to teach skills, and helped to clean and maintain playgrounds and accommodation.
Plan Zheroes uses an online food donation platform that connects businesses to those in need. Not only does this reduce food waste, but charities and community groups also get quick and easy access to food donations.
The Langham family uses this platform daily to inform local charities about surplus pastries and bread products.
