As the hotel that first introduced Afternoon Tea to London society, The Langham celebrates its milestone year featuring sweet and savoury favourites from the 19th and 20th centuries—modernised with seasonal ingredients and refined presentation. Guests can enjoy classics like ‘curried’ Shropshire chicken sandwiches, truffled egg, and the signature Langham custard cream, alongside elegant patisserie inspired by historic recipes, including the Charlotte with apricot and Earl Grey, and a shared finale of “Queen of Ices”—a Victorian-inspired frozen dessert reimagined for the season.

In tribute to the hotel’s founding year, 160 lucky guests randomly selected over the first 16 days will enjoy afternoon tea at a special price of £18.65.

A 4-metre-tall Victorian-style hot air balloon—created in collaboration with Taittinger—will take centre stage in Palm Court. Guests are invited to snap and share photos with the installation for a chance to win a Taittinger balloon flight and an overnight stay.
